Ting Zhang has 25+ years experience of UK - China business, trade and investment. She has advised hi-tech SMEs, FTSE100 corporates, UK universities as well as government agencies, and financial institutions in Wall Street. Since 2008 she has also been engaged by some Chinese tech companies to help them expand into the UK / European markets.
In 2017, Ting launched Crayfish.io, the first online platform dedicated to enabling better engagement with China, and in September 2019 she went on to launch Crayfish Accelerator, a fully funded programme helping ambitious UK tech startups to get China-ready.

Catherine Xiang (MEd, PhD) is an established author and applied linguist with rich experience in the higher education as well as high profile consultancy industry to businesses that wish to engage with China. She is Head of East Asian Languages at LSE, Programme Director for BSc International Relations and Chinese; as well as UK Director for LSE Confucius Institute for Business London. Originally from Shanghai, she is skilled in Intercultural Communication, Translation, Foreign Languages, Lecturing, TV and Public Speaking. She is also an expert in eLearning and innovation in language learning. Her recent publications include 'Mastering Chinese – a Complete Textbook for Beginners', 'Audio-visual Media in Language Education' and the forthcoming 'China Ready – Chinese for Tourism and Hospitality'. In addition to her roles at LSE, she is an executive member of the British Chinese Language Teaching Society, a school governor and chief examiner of Charted Institute of Linguists.

Douglas Dong-Tao is the Vice President and Chief Representative of Shanghai Foreign Investment Development Board (Invest Shanghai) in London, UK and an experienced investment expert. Before taking up his responsibilities with Invest Shanghai, he served as a commercial officer with Chinese Embassies in Egypt and Canada, and he spent more than ten years with United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in its Shanghai Investment and Technology Promotion office. A graduate from Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade (Currently called Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, SUIBE), Mr. Dong-Tao also has an MBA from East China University of Science and Technology and studied in a senior management program at the University of Constance in Germany. He used to be a teacher in SUIBE lecturing "Intellectual Property and International Technology Transfer" for almost 10 years. Now he is still teaching as visiting professor in China for several universities for International Investment and IPR protection and technology transfer.

Kaitlin Zhang is the CEO of Kaitlin Zhang Branding, a cross-border digital marketing agency specialising in technology and financial services. The company works with UK technology firms to establish their brands in China and support them with raising capital in China. The company also works with some of the top Chinese venture capital firms and private investors to build their global brands. Kaitlin is Chinese Canadian and she has international work experience in Vancouver, Shanghai, San Francisco and London. Kaitlin is an award-winning bilingual speaker and also works as the CMO at China Heritage, a technology-powered Chinese investment firm.

Jonathan was appointed Director General of the Institute of Directors in October 2019. Prior to this he spent 30 years working in the professional services sector, most recently at Grant Thornton International Ltd responsible for the organisation's interest in China and previously as a global board member responsible for the brand. Jonathan has a long-standing connection with the IoD, as Chair of IoD Yorkshire and North East region prior to his appointment as Director General. He is the author of three books on China and in addition to being a Fellow of the IoD he is also a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. He studied Geography and Archaeology at St. Andrews University specialising in underwater archaeology. Outside of work, his interests include hill walking and fell running. Dr SONG Lianyi is principal teaching fellow in Chinese at the SOAS, University of London. He has taught Chinese in the UK for 30 years. In the past few years, he has taught both intermediate and advanced business Chinese at SOAS.
He was chairman of the British Chinese Language Teaching Society (BCLTS) from 2002 to 2004 and has been one of the advisors to BCLTS since 2014. He has worked as external examiner for Chinese at over a dozen universities. His research covers Chinese language pedagogy, language assessment, teaching of characters, etc.

Domenica started her sales and marketing career in newspapers in 1992, but by the late 1990s was at the forefront of the digital industry.
Having run and sold a digital marketing agency, Domenica entered the Chinese industry six years ago and is now a recognised Chinese digital consultant to a number of our larger clients, as well as an experienced public speaker.

Jiao joined Crayfish.io as the co-founder in 2018 and has led the marketing, sales, platform and product development for the company. She also assists clients with their China-related research, strategy development and marketing initiatives.
